Physical Motion Problems

Motion problems apply physics to real scenarios — projectiles launched into the air, objects sliding down ramps, cars accelerating from a stop. You'll work with kinematic equations, velocity, acceleration, and gravity, usually modeling height or position as a quadratic function of time. The classic version is a ball thrown upward: its height follows h(t) = -16t² + v₀t + h₀, and you're asked when it hits the ground or how high it goes. These problems connect algebra directly to the physical world and show you why parabolas, quadratics, and the vertex formula actually matter outside of a textbook.
