Geometry Word Problems

Geometry word problems put area, perimeter, volume, and angle calculations into real contexts — fencing a garden, painting a room, filling a tank, or cutting material to size. You're usually given some dimensions and a constraint (a budget, a fixed amount of material, a required volume) and asked to find the missing measurement. What makes these problems interesting is that they often combine geometry with algebra: "A rectangular room is 6 meters longer than it is wide, and its perimeter is 44 meters. Find the dimensions." You need to know the geometry formula and set up the equation, which is a two-layer problem that tests both skills at once.
Rectangle Perimeter Problem: Find Length & Width

A room is 6m longer than wide with 28m perimeter. Solve the system to find both dimensions.
